I like to think that I’m qualified to talk about friendship. See, I hardly have any friends, so I can look at the issue objectively, as an outsider. I could get all emotional about the topic of friendship, and the drama that can cause some friendships to end. However, friendship is something that can be considered to be seasonal or unconditional.
So, for me, it’s interesting to look at it from the perspective of our various life stages, and to see which friendships survive each transition. Friendship conjures a few interesting memories for me, the main one was in primary school, where my schoolmates would spend most of break time arguing or discussing various going-ons, from who could have a piece of whose snack to who was whose best friend.
1. The writer has a lot of friends.
2. Friendship is considered to be seasonal or unconditional.
3. We can look at friend from different life stages.
4. An interesting memory of the writer about friendship happened in primary school.

Three people were asked about their best friend and here is what they said.
Jason (14, a student): Tom is my neighbor. We've been friends for 7 years. Tom's tall and he has blond hair and big round blue eyes. He's a funny but reliable person. He makes me really happy and relaxed with all of his jokes. Oh. We're visiting his uncle's farm next weekend. We're going fishing in the morning and flying kites on the farm in the afternoon. I'm sure it will be fun.
Kien (25, a teacher): My best friend is my colleague, Trang. We studied together from kindergarten to high school. She's a bit awkward sometimes but she looks lovely with chubby cheeks and big round glasses. She has a good sense of humour that makes me love to be with her. She's going on a vacation with her family in Hue. Next Friday she's coming back and we're eating out together in the evening.
Riko (16, a student): I love my twin sister, Kiko. We grew up together. We tell each other everything and we spend day and night together. We look identical and even have the same tastes. We are both a little chubby and have round faces. However, we have quite different personalities. She's confident and humorous but I am a bit shy and sensitive. She's going on a field trip on a farm in the countryside. I miss her so much.
